The topic of this conference in Berlin is laminitis, a disease which belongs to the most terrible strokes possibly happening to a horse. Etiology, pathogenesis and therapy of this world wide occurring disease are not standardized for decades. The effort to generate better solutions is universal and varied. The assignment of this conference shall be to compile concentrated knowledge and research results concerning this disease. This shall contribute to establish more promising pathways in the future. Laminitis is a topic at all equine meetings on the world, mostly in single talks. A complete correlation is not recognizable anymore by most veterinarians. ..."
